theres a slight sheen that flattens over time- mineral oil always seemed (for lack of a better word) more "oily" than this stuff. I was given a quart of it by the guy who sorta mentored me into getting a lathe and he's the wood guru :-) $10 it worth a shot :-) i'm not sure how it would do ...

having seen this play out in the national newsletter - nothing great comes of it-- having built furniture for several years (yrs ago) fills are a part of woodworking... period!
