I turned a few of these from a length of aluminium rod.
Superglue on your sandpaper. Pop in your tailstock chuck.

Re: Wanted: Ken Lamb Cutty Drill bit
I actually am interested in those J. Alan spoon bits, but that would be a whole new approach for for me... I've used ground spade bits before and they just don't do it for me. I suspect the spade bits I've used probably needed sharpening, but I'm just not very handy in that area. So my best results ...

Re: Wanted: Ken Lamb Cutty Drill bit
A bit beyond my skill. I can sharpen my turning tools and that's about it!

RESOLVED: Ken Lamb Cutty Drill bit
Hi All
As the title says I'm after a Ken Lamb drill bit with the Cutty profile. Ideally 13/16 but I'll consider other sizes.
Any offers gratefully received!
Regards
E

@ PremalChheda
Unbelievably, that also helps lots. I was beginning to think I'd need to check the runout on my chuck there was too much wobble for my liking.
Cheers

Re: Buffing Wheel fluff
andrew & caskwith,
I have experimented with light use of shellac - so yes, I probably could do with giving it longer to dry!
I could be accused of being a little bit eager to crack on...

I didn't prep. Is that the same as buffing some scrap wood?

Re: Buffing Wheel fluff
Yes, RPM could be the issue...AND new mops too. I knew the RPMs were high but unavoidable on my grinder, thought using 4" instead of 6" mops would counter the fact. However, looks like I can pick up a mop arbor I can chuck on the lathe, so low RPMs will be possible. Now I'm gonna buff the ...

Buffing Wheel fluff
Hello all
I'm looking for some advice!
The problem is that when I'm applying carnauba wax I'm getting bits of buffing wheel fluff stuck on the pipe.
Does this happen to anyone else? If so, what's the remedy?
Kind regards
