#38 - Mini morta bent billiard with horn
Hello guys. This is the first pipe from me in 2017, and the first ever morta pipe i've made. I have a bunch of smaller sized morta blocks, so i started a new sort of line of pipes - The mini morta series. This is of course the first of that line. Things i know i can improve on: - Define the shape of...

#37 - Sandblasted volcano
Hello guys! I recently did a pipe trade with John (JMG here on the forum), and this is the pipe i made for him. It's the first volcano i've made - a tricky shape i must say! I really like the result, and i just wanted to share it with all of you. Things i know i can improve on: - Transition from bow...

Re: Classic Straight Bulldog
I always love your pipes, Wayne, but I have a few comments for this one. Yeah, the bowl cant is just a tad too much The proportions on the bowl would look more graceful if the rings were cut closer to the rim, and moving the widest part of the bowl up a bit. In that way the bowl would look "lig...

Re: #36 - Eskimo
Thanks for the inputs, guys. I appreciate it! The soft lines was made on purpose, as I thought it looked good. I've studied several Eskimos before I started, and I even made this one after some specifications I found on one of Eltang's Eskimos, just with my own interpretation. I did that to get a go...

#36 - Eskimo
Hello guys! So, I've been waiting a looong time to make this comissioned eskimo, which is my first eskimo by the way. I've been busy with a bunch of other pipes before this one, so I've saved up some nerve for this shape. I was terrified to start this pipe, but once i cut into the block, I discovere...

Re: #35 - Sandblasted Dublin
Unfortunately no, I'm not going to China, only my pipes. Danish pipemaker Erik Nielsen was so kind to offer that he could bring my pipes with him. But yeah, would have been fun to meet up

Hello guys! This is the newest pipe from me, a sandblasted dublin with antler ring and ebonite stem. This one is going to China for the Chengde Pipe Show. - Brian http://i1344.photobucket.com/albums/p649/briangehrtmadsen/Pipe%2035/IMG_1969_zpsxar5a3g4.jpg http://i1344.photobucket.com/albums/p649/bri...

Here's number 31, a bent billiard with camel bone. It's the first of my pipes to feature a shank cap, and i really like how it turned out! Re: Rusticated poker with cumberland
Thanks for all the replies. I am still practicing saddle stems with a smooth transition. I only use a wood lathe, so there's a lot fine tuning by hand after turning. I know the pinch isn't that great, and i would also love to make a saddle stem without it, so i will practice some more. I made a poke...

Rusticated poker with cumberland
Hello gents! This is the newest pipe. It was a comission, based on a poker i made earlier this year, but the customer wanted it black with cumberland. Comments and constructive critique are more than welcome. Have a great day! http://i1344.photobucket.com/albums/p649/briangehrtmadsen/Pipe%2029/IMG_1...

Re: #28 - Liverpool with antler
Thanks guys, I appreciate your kind words. Sandahl, I see what you mean about the cheek, but it also looks a bit weird on that photo. I'm still practicing those continuous curves on the bowl, but they are hard to nail!

#28 - Liverpool with antler
This was a comission. The customer wanted a Liverpool with a good long shank. This was the only suitable block i had, but i thought it looked to good to be rusticated, so i asked the customer if he would consider a smooth instead, and he was fine with that. Comments and critique are more than welcom...

Rusticated Anse/Cutty with bamboo
Hello guys. Just wanted to share my newest pipe with you. This was a comission. The customer sent me a drawing of a pipe he wanted, and after we settled completely on the shape, i made this. It's number 27 for me. http://i1344.photobucket.com/albums/p649/briangehrtmadsen/Pipe%2027/IMG_1330_zps6cjuhd...

Re: Dublin with bamboo
Thanks Wayne. You are right about the bend in the bamboo. I thinked about bending the stem, but i liked it so much without a bend that i didn't do it. The bowl has a little forward cant, so i think that makes it a bit more even.
