Re: Missing updates

Hi,
I see your point and agree. So far I use metals as decorative rings and it is still difficult for me to make them even with wood. They heat up quite fast when grinding and can damage wood around. I need to prepare rings in more dateiled manner before sanding shape. Thanks for feedback.

Hello, I have not been here since 2011 so I will post few pipes I have made. I did not make too much effort to take nice pictures and I do not want to spam forum with pics from different angles. Feel free to comment. Stefan 1. Briar, bronze, cumberland http://www.dymka.net/bb/gallery/image.php?album...

Re: Drop of smoke 2

I like the shape and the execution with one exception - I can't help but feel that is a pre-made churchwarden stem and the thick part nearest the tenon has been shaped rather... non-committally, I suppose, to the tenon thickness. Much better imho would be a stem that was the same thickness as the t...

Hi, I have finished this one last Saturday. I wanted to try more classical shape. The pipe is quite tiny. It is starting to become a habbit that my daughter names the pipes. Feel free to comment. http://www.dymka.net/bb/gallery/image_page.php?album_id=229&image_id=8095 http://www.dymka.net/bb/ga...

No. 7

I have finished this on saturday. Unfortunately I have sanded through so I tried to save it by inserting piece of copper. I still like it but I could have been so much nicer. http://img192.imageshack.us/img192/2109/img0120ip.jpg http://img14.imageshack.us/img14/5548/img0122zh.jpg http://img14.images...

Re: my third work

Very nice for a third pipe. I particularly like the shank/stem decoration. Most guys don't attempt anything that complicated until they have made a dozen or so pipes. Keep up the good work! I have to admit that the decoration you like is work of Mr. Hap. I dont have skills and equipment yet to do i...

This one I have designed and crafted at Mr. Pavel Hap's workshop. Mr. Hap is czech pipemaker. You can check out his work at http://www.hap-pipes.eu/ Mr. Hap helped of course on critical parts. Your opinions on this pipe are welcomed. http://img5.imageshack.us/img5/263/imgp1001.jpg http://img193.imag...

you are right. unfortunately, I cant sand it down a little more since the rings would reveal its rough inside structure.
