Re: My weekend pipe project

Thank you guys for the responses. I can see what you mean with the porportions and I will look to adjust that if I make another. I started making my own stems so I should have more flexibility with the size of the stems I have on hand. Thanks again for the feedback.

Re: My weekend pipe project

Thanks, I will do that for the next one. I know in that shot it appears there is a gap but its a super solid tight fit and you couldnt slip a sheet of paper into if you tried. As usual though I appreciate the feedback and its been noted.

My weekend pipe project

A tall canted poker with an off centered anchor. In my artistic head the off center anchor with the canted pipe seemed right. Either way it was fun to make. I will try to upload the other couple shots within the post since its limited to 3.

Re: How to sharpen a J. Alan Spoon bit??

They did pretty well but its not a bad excuse to add another tool to what I have already. I have reconditioned several straight razors and may do more so it will be handy to have a good hone.

Re: A few more of my recent pipes

Thank you for the feedback, yes there is a taper on the skull pipe that I made. That one was a premolded stem that I obviously worked on, I could go back over it and take the taper down. The curchwarden stem is a vulcanite stem that I added an extension to. It is maple that I stained to match the bo...

New to pipe making but heres a few I have made

Here are a few pipes that I have made. I just started making pipes this year just because I wanted to see if I could. Thank you in advance for your feedback. Most of my pipes are all hand shaped. I just started making my own stems or modifying the premolded stems I have purchased.
