I'll second the Bob Oswald recommendation. His bags are extremely durable and well made. I own a few Russ Cook pipes, and all of his pipes come with a leather bag from Bob. A handmade bag is nice, but nothing beats leather.

I use a pipe Zippo, or barring that, a Bic. I find matches to be cumbersome, and only use them if I happen to be somewhere and there's a box laying on the table.

I'll be there with a table, and it will be my first St. Louis show. Anything I should know ahead of time? Anybody else going to be there?

I think the main difference would be comfortability. Acrylic is plastic, Vulcanite is rubber. Correct?

The IAPSC holds shows in Michigan sometime in October. This past year they held it in Arkansas, but usually it's held in MI. Sometimes in Swartz Creek, sometimes in Shepherd. It's sporadic, and a small but well attended show with a smoking competition.

Watching shows for the past couple of years the crowd has changed as well. It's neat to see new and young people getting into it.

The very worst thing that happens is the estate market gets flooded with really nice pipes.. No complaints on my end.
