Pipe #4 – Bent Brandy
Hi all, I’ve been away for pipe making for a little more than a year, but I recently jumped back in to make this pipe for a friend, and I’m looking forward to making more pipes in the near future. I would like to get some feedback on this pipe, but first I will provide my self-critique. The pipe has...

Re: Pipe #3 – 1st Billiard
Thank you all for your comments and help. I will put your suggestions into practice for both my next billiard as well as all my other future pipes. I have been working on a bent brandy and your suggestions about shaping the shank/stem junction have helped immensely.

Pipe #3 – 1st Billiard
Hello again, I was unfortunately not immune to that affliction which has plagued many new pipemakers who have come before me, and will no doubt plague those who come after. I jumped into the deep end, neglecting to begin by carving a traditionally-shaped pipe. I have regrouped and put my efforts int...

Re: Pipe #2 - Trireme
Thank you for the feedback. I agree with everything you said. I started on my first billiard yesterday and hope to be able to post it before too long for critique.
Thanks,
Andrew

I'm brand new to pipemaking but looking to improve! If it's not too late to join I'd like to give it a shot.

Well this is more of a Rudyard Kipling crowd, actually scratch that, this is maybe a Shel Silverstein crowd and quite likely Dr Seuss to be honest, but amongst the rabble there are a few educated cryptids. Welcome aboard and show us what you're making. I appreciate the welcome! I posted my 2nd pipe...

Pipe #2 - Trireme
Hey y'all, I'm brand new to both this forum and to pipemaking. I've made two pipes so far from Vermont Freehand pipe kits. My first was a bent billiard, which I have not posted for critique but possibly will in the future. You can see my second one below. It was inspired by the shape of Ancient Gree...
