Or avoid the hassles of horn entirely by using a decent imitation horn like is sold bu several knife making houses.

The Grizzly 1015 so called knife sander is too fast to properly use for knife work. Especially if you spend the extra bucks for the larger contact wheel.

Mammoth tooth is at least partially fossilized as they have been extinct for thousands of years. Far harder than a regular tooth from a now living animal.
