Re: moving along

This is a beautiful pipe! I love the grain, and your geometry, fit and finish all seem really well executed. The only thing I'm not sure of (and this is nitpicking here--[and, fellers, please correct me if I'm wrong]) is the length of the stem--it seems a tad too long to be a Canadian (as does the p...

Re: Some new pieces

These are all beautiful. And the blast on that poker is exquisite. I really like the simplicity of the poker design. Very striking. Great work!

Re: 12-09 Green Imp

Hey Jens, Very cool looking pipe! I like how it looks kind of futuristic, yet, somehow reminiscent of work of some of the older Danish makers. I might have made the stem a bit longer (and maybe a little wider at the button) but, that's just nitpicking. Overall, though, I think this definitely works ...

That dublin/horn is a sight to behold (and be held) and that blood red finish is amazing. I've really been getting into (and getting my hands on) dublins lately. Even if you're a troll, they make you look elegant as hell. Would love to see the top of that one.

Very nice work! I really like that thin billiard (#3), the prince (#2) and the billiard with the slight bend and wooden insert. Nice sandblasting, too! Beautiful work, all around. Do you have a website?

Leather pipe pouches and accessories from Sorringowl

Hey guys, Not sure if this is the right place to post this but, I thought I'd offer some of my pipe accessories here (if not, mods, please let me know). Been pretty busy for the last month making all new items for my Sorringowl shop The inspiration for my pipe pouch is an old roll up tool pouch that...

Re: Another, another tamper...

Those are really nice! And it's rare that you see turned, wooden tampers with poker ends that you can actually use (not to mention, a really beautiful design). You really should sell these. I'd buy one!

Beautiful work! Thanks for sharing.

Re: 2012 Chicago Pipe Show Preview

I have a Crosby but I wouldn't sell it. It's my new favorite pipe. :P Bing or John? The singing and dancing one. You know......John. I thought that Cathy Lee Crosby was the singing and dancing one?...How come you never see a Cathy Lee Crosby pipe? But I digress...Wayne, all of your pipes are freaki...

Re: Pipe #7- what would you call him?

This is a really pretty pipe! It's nice to see someone making freehands that don't look like the person smoking them would be stuck in the year 1973. This has a real modern feel to it but still hearkens back to the era of freehands (minus the bell bottoms and mutton chop sideburns). I really like th...

Beautiful pipes! Very nice shaping and, these are not sandblasted??? Wow!

Very nice stem work, too, especially on the 2nd pipe.

Re: Leafy Bulldog

That's a really unique shape. I like it a lot. I think Leafy Bulldog is nice too. I was trying to think of another name but I couldn't think of any better than that (bulldog sparrow? bird dog? haha). It'd be nice to see another version of this where you get to see a little more of the bottom back of...

Re: Pipe #3?

That's a nice shape and kudos to you for continuing. It is frustrating when you work on something for so long only to find it's unusable. I am in the middle of making a pot shaped pipe that I'm really starting to like. The (potential) problem is, the piece of briar I"m using has a large pit aro...

Re: most up to date

I really like the Cala; beautifully shaped. I like the conical tomato (especially the stem work) but I feel like the shank should have curved a bit more to follow the arc of the stem and the bowl. I also feel like the bowl could have been drilled further back or more mass taken off the back of the b...

Re: Danish Bent Bulldog

That's a beautiful pipe! I really like the harmony between the cumberland half saddle (very Kai Neilsen-esque--whose work I love) and the deep, sandblasted bowl. I, personally, really like the deep sandblast on this. It seems, for some reason, I don't often see a bulldog with a deep blast like that ...

Re: P0712

Beautiful pipe and beautiful grey finish. I agree with Wayne, though, about the padauk accent. It's not, in my humble opine, that I think they necessarily look bad together. All in all, this is a very pretty pipe. But when I saw that soft, grey stain on the briar, I just wanted to see more of it. It...

Wow! Reminds me of the volcano in Close Encounters (or was it a mountain?). In any case, that's the nicest volcano I've seen.
