Re: can this be flush fit?
Find a box to keep all your screw ups in, and throw it in there. It won't be lonely for long. You can probably come back to this pipe some day and fix it, if you hang in there long enough. You could put bamboo on it, redrill another mortise, may be several ways to save it that are probably out of yo...

In Texas, outside of the major cities, you'll find the friendliest most open people I've met anywhere in the Lower 48 states. Old fashioned ideas like common courtesy, hospitality, and respect run rampant most anywhere it hasn't been crushed by more modern "ideals".

Re: can this be flush fit?
Your sketch is a no go. The shank is too thin on the bottom, which may or may not be a big problem. It will just lead to a shank that is prone to break, or just a bit too much sanding and you've cut through to the airway. Your bowl however is not acceptable. Back of the bowl looks like it goes into ...

Just for the Record, Steve is the man. I wish there was a guy just like him in every industry I ever spend money in. Luckily we have him for pipe supplies, I just wish he would go into Insurance, Groceries and Oil. And politics. I do feel bad for his competitors. They have to sleep. Steve doesn't wa...

Re: Anyone interested in splitting a table in KC?
I hear he pays commission if you share a table and sell his pipes while he's out. Here's a super funny joke to play on Sasquatch-sized Texans: ALDEN: So, I'm back. Sell anything? PRANKSTER: Yup. Every one of 'em, in fact! ALDEN: Out-fucking-standing! Cool! They pay with cash or PayPal? PRANKSTER: A...

Whoever sold you that crap briar is an asshole ! Hope he didn't charge you much ! Besides that though, you have a Dublin here when I think you were making a Billiard. It's really not either, sort of floating in between. Bringing in the sides toward the top would give you what you want. Shaping is pr...

Well Sasquatch, we only had half of the conversation; the part about rubbing a Texan the wrong way. We still need the talk about rubbing a Big Texan the right way.
