Shoot-darn, Rad! Every time I tell myself "I'll never get into blasting; smooth briar for me!" someone like you comes along and blows me out of the water. That pipe begs to be smoked!

Hey, Scott, it works for me. Very nice. Someone else can tear it up, maybe, but they're gonna have to work at it. Nice pipe, man.

Good eye, Heinz! I think that's a great comment -- the long stem is kind of a surprise; you're looking for something a bit shorter when you see the pipe as a whole. Not to say that's a big objection, mind. Nice pipe.

Nice lines. The button looks a bit thick, especially in the first shot, but maybe that's just the angle. I'd guess it's a very smokable, comfortable pipe. Good job.

I think prob'ly I'd like this a lot more if you had kept the underside of the shank straight from stem to the heel (if that's the correct term -- the bottom of the bowl). Aside from that, I think it works well.

Karol, the sepia shot -- #6 -- shows the grain to the best advantage. Pipe number TWO? Gee, my second pipe I need to mount on a tripod to keep from straining my wrist when I smoke it! Nice job!

I've been waiting for your next one(s), Tano. Of late I've been thinking so much about contrast staining and high-gloss finish that I was taken aback with this. Then I looked again. And again. This is a very HONEST pipe. Good lines, nothing flashy; it grows on you. The finish fits it well. I like it...

Heinz, I hope my pipes get better as fast when I finally get going again. Very nice! Super finish. Nitrocellulose? That rings a bell, but all my brain comes up with at this time of day is a fuzzy image of some kind of breakfast food. (Gee, edible pipes. What a concept!)

Love, at first I was astonished by the length of the belt, stretching on up into the clouds as it does. Then I thought a bit and realized how desirable it would be to be able to slip fingers behind the belt from time to time -- at slow speeds -- for more precise sanding. Very well done!

On the other hand, though the tobacco has probably undergone a change, it may still be quite smokable. I remember the tobacconist at the smoke shop in Annapolis using a spritzer --- a little atomizer used by bartenders for adding flavors to mixed drinks -- to maintain the moisture of his displayed b...

Oh, gosh, I'm the first to break the ice again. Well, take everything I say with a good dollop of salt. Nice pipe, Mike, and I like the "freehand Dublin" was it? too. In both, it looks like you should spend some quality time with the stem --- a bit on the heavy side, where it looks like th...

Obviously nothin' wrong with "cheap Ebauchon," Jamie! Nice concept. (To be picky: Maybe sharper definition between bowl and shank, taper shank more to make the thin part of the stem look like it was on purpose.) But shoot-darn, that's a nice pipe anyway.

Tano, since I'm on, I'll answer. Over on your left, under "Menu," you'll see "Gallery." and once you access that, down at the bottom of the list on the right (if memory serves), you'll find the "anixihartz pipes" link. The gallery seems to be the place many use to uploa...

You know, I've been muddling around with the same thing --- but only in what I think of as my mind, and then only in spare moments, of which there are few --- as a way to get away from the great metal ring at the end of the shank on (are they called) military stems? Them-one-things what Peterson use...

Hey, Mark, I guess the difference is in the eye of the beholder. (No, I can see the deeper rustication in the 2906, but hmmm.) I still like 2506 best. Have you thought of using that idea on an Oom Paul? You could call it an Uncle Squiggley.
