Re: Lathe project

No real updates yet. I found a tailstock on eBay but when I got it, it was for the wrong lathe and was miss-marked. So, after I returned that, I finally found the right one that was complete complete from a great place in VT. It should be here in a week. Once it's complete and set up I'll post some ...

Taig II lathe for sale

I figured I'd post this lathe her first before I put it on eBay. The lathe has been taken care off, recently cleaned, and over oiled for when I ship it. I Wasn't sure what a great price would be so I'm putting $250, not including shipping charges. This lathe has always been handy, but I have a 13 an...

Re: Lathe project

I worked on it for 2 1/2 weeks, lots of elbow grease, electrolysis, and new paint and it's all done. It works great so far. Once the tail stock comes this week, it will be done. Tell me what you think. Thanks, Craig. http://i121.photobucket.com/albums/o238/Muellersfish/A537C82B-401E-4EAA-ACE8-A3DD00...

Lathe project

Well, I bought a Logan lathe 9 for a winter project. Once it's done, I hope to only have 500 in it with basic tooling, quick change, and jacobs chuck. When I went to look at the lathe it was stored outside under a tarp and rusted to shit. However, none of the gears were chipped, the bed did not have...

Hello everyone, I currently have a south bend 13 and a taig lathe but I've been thinking about getting rid of the taig lathe. I saw this on Craigslist and think if I can get it cheaper it would de a good deal. Please let me know if I'm correct. Thanks

I joined the site on the tail end of when he was on his way out but I can still remember all the bs this guy used to stir up. We have had some runners up but he was definelty the king of the ...

East Coast

Is there any interest in setting up an east coast meet up? I can see the improvements by those who attended the west coast meet up and I would like to improve as well. Emails, Picts, and critiques can only do so much and maybe there are others who are interested.

Re: Out of the blue proposition...

I haven't tried free hand drilling and I would be worried about messing them up but I'm sure you could make a practice pipe and see how it goes. Besides the filler, the pipes almost look like they were blasted. I guess the other question would be do you put your stamp on them when they are done or n...
