My REAL intro, and my first REAL pipe...

Thanks Brian! I have everything in my website, pens and a little of this and that! Fountain pens are like pipes, a seldom utilized art form! Mine are all roller ball sadly, but I welcome any comments on those as well!

Re: Here comes the coffee mug!!

That looks awesome!

Should have made it a dual chamber bowl...one side for coffee, one side for smoke, the fire would have kept the coffee warm!

Nice and clean! Id smoke it!

Re: First Rustication Attempt

Newcarver, I think you did a great job for a first attempt. So to get your dad from cigs to pipes you could get him used to sticking the cigars end down in the bowl of his pipe and have him smoke them that way. After time you can start removing his cigars and put some pipe tobacco in there. Maybe h...

Re: First Rustication Attempt

Thank you! Those are very nice. I also like your Roma No.3 Pipe very much! I have a dremel, but this was something I saw and wanted to try real quick.

First Rustication Attempt

This was an old cheapo pipe bought off Amazon. I gave it to my dad to try so I could convert him from cigs to pipes. After awhile the finish started bubbling off...he was hot-boxing the hell out of it. Anyway this was my first try at rustication. I used the method shown on the Blakemore briars video...

Re: Carter hall... and lessons learned

I dig the Carter Hall. Its also nice with Black Cavendish and Vanilla if youre into blending. Makes a real nice mellow fragrant smoke.

Frankly, I used to smoke cigs (the smell was killing me though) and the aromatic blends are the only thing my wife will let me get away with now...

Re: 14-11 '2x7'

I have to say, I've got a soft spot for short pipes. This one would fit the bill perfectly. I like it. This. Also, it goes without saying that you would have to do this to the stem/shank junction in this particular case, but I love the way you blended the dips in the 'boo with the stem...that just ...

Re: few new ones... :)

Im glad you posted these. I actually looked at your site a day or two ago and without too much schmoozing meant or implied, I really appreciate your work. I sat there with my slackjaw and my wife shaking her head saying..."You've lost your damn mind..."

These are gorgeous.
