Re: my third pipe complete
I just came out of PMF retirement to say.... wtf?! It's the same damn story I've heard a million times. You think you're special, you can't take a critique, you spend the entire fucking thread spinning the critiques and trying to act like a sanding mark isn't a fucking sanding mark. To all you newbi...

There's a lot going with with this one. As Sas said, the bowl might be slightly out of round, and it's certainly too short for that shank, but overall this is looking great man! Work on the posture of the bowl with your next variation! The shank and stem look a lot better on this piece as well, it's...

Re: Number 12 a commission heading to Texas
The top and bottom lines of the shank don't flow to their terminus quite right. They're good all the way up to the accent material, where they get a bit wonky. The top line especially subtly reverse-curves towards the end- that flare should be pronounced all the way to the end. Alternatively you cou...

Re: Golden Ratio a Farce?
The golden ratio works in certain situations, not so much in others. There's a misconception people have that ALL beauty is tied to it, and that's simply not true. I frankly don't worry about if I'm golden ratio-ing or not. I think a more useful thing to develop is an eye for curves in general. Nice...

Re: What it means to be an Artisan
Since "Yeti" and "Sasquatch" are just different regional names for the same critter, and Todd B. lives not-all-that-far from you (in Western states terms, anyway), I do not see such a campaign ending well for you. How wrong you are little man! Bigfoot= sea level-3000ft Sasquatch...

You can see a point where the guy ALMOST cracks a smile- it's an excellent parody of a genre. I'll leave it at that.PremalChheda wrote:They really kept straight faces throughout.
