Anyone ever use this for a sandblast medium?

I was talking to a guy that does sandblasting on small metal pieces and he said he uses baking soda. Has anyone ever tried this? Is the media too small to blast briar properly? Seems like an inexpensive, readily available medium.

Speaking of C&D, try Mississippi Mud. Some say it's kind of strong, but I've never had a problem with it. And I'd swear I can taste some sort of top note. This is my go-to tobacco at the moment.

Cherry makes nice pipes, but there are a few things to take into consideration. Cherry grain swells when it gets wet. This problem is made worse by using figured cherry. I used some curly cherry on a pipe and not only is a stummel too small to show off the curl, but the tobacco chamber got very roug...
