you also call the tomato an apple in its description rev Thanks Rev! It's just been amended. We really do appreciate everyone pointing out the little details that need attending to. Hmm thats puzzling, mind telling me what internet browser you were using? Then I can maybe see what the problem is. It isn't showing up the way you described it on Safari, Mozilla, or Google Chrome. I do apologize about that.

The Pipe Guys - for the Smoking Pipe Enthusiast

We originally posted this in the "general" forum, and then realized this forum is probably more appropriate. PhilipMarc and I have recently launched a brand new blog (www.ThePipeGuys.com)! Along with the usual blog related material, we will be regularly writing pipe-maker spotlight posts, ...

Chicago Pipe Show 2013

So who's going to make it out to this year's show? Phil and I will be there and have a vendor table for www.ThePipeGuys.com and our pipes! We managed to drag the wives along with us with, albeit with much trepedation on their part after hearing about the 6 course cigar dinner (which they regretably ...

Re: Two Pokers

Nice Job! I think the first one is close to looking like a cherrywood. I quite like the proportions as far as the bowl and shank go, for the first one. I am not a huge fan of the stain color though; it looks a bit uneven to me. The second pipe, I think needs a bit of work as far as the proportios go...

Re: Egg?

Excellently shaped pipe! I am quite partial to a good "Egg", and the grain on this one pretty nice as well! Looks like you took as much advantage of what the block was giving you when you oriented the grain. I would certainly agree with the others that bending the stem just a touch did wor...

Re: 130203 - Cutty (?)

I think you did a good job on the bowl shaping, although it looks much more like a canted billiard than a cutty to me. It looks like the shank, antler extension, and the stem all fit very nice and flush with one another. The antler does look a bit out of place to me though. Partly because of the siz...
