Samuel Gawith Full Virginia Flake/Esoterica Stonehaven Trade

Would anyone be interested in trading me some Esoterica Stonehaven and/or Penzance tobacco for Samuel Gawith Full Virginia Flake?
I have a few extra tins of Samuel Gawith Full Virginia Flake I bought this year and would really like to try these Esoterica tobaccos.

Re: Algerian briar pricelist & size chart ALL GRADES IN STOCK

I ordered some of this Algerian briar from Vermont Freehand. Ordered 8 medium Ebauchons - Grade 1 and 8 large Ebauchons - Grade 1 They look excellent in my opinion. I am very happy with the blocks and Vermont Freehand was great to deal with. He responded to my PM questions quickly and shipped even f...

Re: 1st Gallery Pipe

Thanks for the comments. It's weird that you can see what appears to be a chip in the ring in the photo, but it is very hard to see in person. The bowl is actually vary large; almost too large. That pipe smokes for a long while. I believe I will go with a 3/4" bowl next time. I am working on a ...

Re: some new ones

I'm new, so I shouldn't critique anyone's pipes.
So, I won't.
I just want to say that the first one is my favorite.
The others a nice too, but that is too cool how you got that look.
It looks like the base of a tree going into the ground to me.

Very nice.

What stain did you use to get that color?

Thanks,

Re: Stem Inlays

Thanks again for the replies. I would like to get a metal lathe, but it would need to be a good used deal to fit into the budget right now. I am looking. Are most of the black and white, and sometimes colorful swirled ring inlays acrylic rod stock? If a few of you pipe makers could let me know where...

Re: Stem Inlays

Thanks for the replies. You guys are entertaining. It's the facing part that is tripping me up, well, along with the long tenon. The Pimo cutter doesn't make tenon all that long. I tried turning a long tenon with the wood lathe, but the face of the stem wasn't exactly right. What are you guys cuttin...

Stem Inlays

I have a couple of questions about stems. Thanks in advance for your help. I want to add ring accents or inlays (not sure about correct terminology) to my stems. Could you share your technique? I have heard of buying pre-cut material of certain thickness, but what material do I buy and where do I ge...

Re: UPDATED Briar, Stems, Bands, 4 sale!

I received my order of briar, stems, and bands.

Randall, aka Pegleg, was a pleasure to deal with.

He accommodated every request and answered my many questions.

The shipment was immediate and everything arrived in good shape.

The briar blocks exceeded my expectations.

Thanks for the items,
