9 stitches in any finger takes a LOT of credibility from methodology photographs. I'm not sayin'.... Just for shits-and-giggles I tried my router sled on a block to see how the router would do with this super tough material. After I had two parallel faces milled, I cut it square clamped safely in a table saw sled. Now I can make my first pipe! http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8400/8650570500_89928c623...

Router Sled to square up briar?
Using a bench sander seems to be the way you guys true up a briar block... would anyone recommend using a router sled instead?
