No evaluation from me as I'll leave that to the experts. Nice pipe in my eyes.

Re: turned 21 today

Happy Birthday Josh! A memorable time in all our lives when we become21. I celebrated mine in Vietnam. Couldn't celebrate it like most do but I was around folks that meant a lot to me. Sorry about your friend but he will never be forgotten. Everywhere time you make a pipe you will think of him. I ha...

Overall I like it but where shank meets bowl could be thinner but could still maintain flare at stem.

Re: Stem/shank gap after bending...

I made a device from a fender washer with a hole just big enough for the tenon to fit into. To this washer and using double stick tape I apply fine grit sandpaper. Put the washer sand paper against the stem. Slide stem onto the pipe and either twist washer or stem until the surfaces of pipe and stem...

Re: influenced by

I never had influences, as such. I was (and still am) a fabrication geek & tool slut who worked with my hands literally farther back than I can remember. (My mom used to love telling me how I made Christmas tree ornaments when I was two years old, and how all I ever wanted for birthdays and suc...

Re: influenced by

Have always enjoyed working with my hands. Made my first fishing rod when I was 12. Took wood shop in HS. Made fins for surfboards and sold them to a board shop I worked for. Made a board or two. Joined the military and became a Navy Seabee. Built things from Vietnam to other places in the world. Fi...

Re: Another inciteful question for Sparkle Markle's amusemen

I can't speak as a competent pipe maker nor do I have a "tribal" tendency to make them to become famous. I do want to be able to make something I wouldn't be embarrassed to smoke in public. I have seen what LatakiaLover is speaking of in various creative endeavors. The idea of becoming fam...
