symetric something
Hello everyone. This is a pipe I just finished. It is inspiered by the lines that you'll typically find in a blowfish, but it's symetrical instead of asymetrical. In some areas I'm very happy with this pipe, for example, the stain is even as far as I can tell, and the pipe is polished to a very shin...

buffing trouble
Hello everyone, it's been a while since I posted anything on here. I have a problem that I guess alot of other guys have run into while buffing. The thing is, I just bought the Beall 3 on lathe mandrell from PME, and in doing so, I upgraded from 4" to 8" buffs. The polish on my pipes turns...

Question on pin gages
Hello everyone. Lately I have noticed that I more and more often really need to use pin gages, but since they don't even seem to exist over here I don't have access to them locally. I have searched around and I mostly find imperial sets, and the metric i find don't seem to come in the right sizes, a...
Re: Rhodesian
Albert. Do you notice anything when you look at the pipe with the stem inverted? First thing that comes to mind is the uncontinous flow of the shank to stem arch. I'd bet that if this curve would've been continous the pipe would look better with the stem turned the right way. Am I close to what you...
Re: Rhodesian
I was asked to take a picture of the pipe with the stem upside down, so here it is!
Re: Rhodesian
Thanks guys. You're right about the stain on the rim (buffing cockup, it only takes a fraction of a second). The shank does change angle at the shank face, this however is how I planned it during the sketching of the pipe because i felt it would actually improve the swooping curve of the shank and s...

Rhodesian
Hey guys. I finished this pipe yesterday. This one has taken a long time to finish for several reasons. First of I had to make the tool for the rings on the bowl, and then I had to make a cut-off tool to make the decoration ring. And as if those time consuming tools wasn't enough, I then moved on to...

Question about a pipe.
Hey guys. Yesterday I posted a tread in the "General" section of the forum where I talk about some old pipe repair boxes I was given yesterday. One of those boxes contained an old pipe and I don't know who made it, so I thought that I'd post it here to maybe get some information from more ...

Cool find (I think)
Hello everyone. Today I was given something I find very cool by Petter, an old friend of my father. The father of Petter was an avid pipesmoker his entire life (he passed away a few years ago). He left behind alot of pipes and piperelated stuff when he passed, and since Petter himself doesn't smoke ...

Re: New floor in the shop
Ehm, well, actually I've already spilled a few dropps of red stain on it, but don't worry, it was for a good cause (staining a pipe) and it looks like blood, which makes it extra cool right?

New floor in the shop
Yup, I have put in a new floor in the workshop to get it ready for the Swedish winter. The old floor were just old, and more or less rotted wooden planks with no insulation, so you can imagine what last winter was like in the workshop! Anyway, instead of tearing out everything from the shop (not gon...

Re: Because I don't know - Olive wood
I have made two olive pipes. The first I made because I was courious as to how it would smoke compared to briar, and the second one (which I reasently posted in the gallery) I made because I was asked to by a customer. I think olive is nice to work with because it's so different from briar, and it's...

Hello everyone, it's been a while since I posted anything here due to work-bussyness and me having to insulate the floor in the workshop (I'm not done yet) to not freeze my a** of when winter strikes. Anyway, this pipe was commissioned (spelling?) by my uncle who is going to give it to one of his fr...
