The grain placement looks nice, especially on the shank. Is it the light or are there some flaws on the right side of the bowl in the first picture? I love the look but I also think the stem looks odd. There is a version from the first movie that is similar but from what I could tell, it had a saddle stem. Do you think that would make it look more streamlined?

I made this one as practice for a lovat. I used cherry for the stummel and reworked a stem that I previously screwed up. There's a little bit of a flare or outward taper of the shank towards the stem. I knew it was going to be strictly a keeper so I made a purple pipe for myself. I wish I could take...

FINALLY FINISHED IT! I've been putting off finishing this one. The endcap is olive.
