Any takers on a commission
As I contemplated my pipe collection, I decided that I needed a small lovat. I love the Dunhill 3111 shape but since I'm a bit strapped for cash I was seriously considering a wessex lovat. As all this ran through my mind I thought: "hey, why spend my good money on a pipe from a big company when...

Brian,
Thanks a lot for the comments. To tell you the truth I was pretty nervous about posting. I totally know what you're talking about when you say it has a chin. It really juts out there. It reminds me of some castellos I've seen. Definitely not up to that quality, but same basic shape.

Re: squaring blocks
Thanks Todd. I've thought about picking up a band saw since they are not expensive. My current problem is that all my pipe making paraphernalia is set up in the back of my local tobacconist's shop. They are extremely generous to let me keep it all there. I live in a dormitory so I have no room of my...

First post. Any constructive citicism welcome
Hello all. I'm rather new to all of this so this is the first pipe I've actually felt was worth posting here. If you have any constructive criticism for a total noob I would love to hear it. http://i1234.photobucket.com/albums/ff417/Ocelot55/14-11_3.jpg http://i1234.photobucket.com/albums/ff417/Ocel...

That could possibly be the coolest friggin pipe I've ever seen. My girlfriend called it pipe porn. I would agree.

That's a gorgeous hybrid. I love the birdseye on the bottom and the smooth fluid shape. For me though, its a little thick and tubular for my taste. Very well done.

squaring blocks
First of all, I'm new to this forum, and think its the greatest thing since sliced bread. I never thought I'd be able to get tips from some of the greats in this business. Here is my question: How do you guys square your blocks before you drill them? I know there are a lot of different ways to do it...

Great tips. It would take me years to figure all that out.
