Delrin question

When doing a delrin tenon, what is the absolute minimum seating into the stem that people have found that you can safely epoxy the delrin? As a matter of practice, I go with 1/2" just to be safe whenever possible, but have safely done 3/8". The sticky that Kurt posted says minimum of 1/4". What's the general consensus for those using delrin?

I thread 15mm into the stem, then I have 15mm sticking out. If design dictates, such as a saddle then I will go down to 10mm, but no less.

Ok, so 10mm being right about 3/8", I'll use that as a guide for now. Maybe I'll conduct some experiments here in the near future.

I've never gone below a 1/4" and prefer 3/8. On a real skinny Canadian, I have been 1/4 to 5/16 on 1/4" stuff, no fails yet. But you need SOMETHING in the stem!

Hey, that's right around 1/4" Premal.

Hope this helps.
