It should straighten out if you leave it on the counter. It was formed straight, it'll return.

I had some delivered coiled a few years back, it never did straighten out enough to work with unfortunately.

I just threw some away that wouldn't straighten out. I bought it when I first started and it arrived coiled. I cut it down and tucked it on the shelf. I pulled it out not long ago and it all still have a bit of bend to it...in the trash it went.

I tried to use a piece. The tenon looked funny, but it did seat perfectly.

Slightly heat it with your heat gun and it should return to straight. If not, save it for a special occasion, if you are :D :D under 50 yrs old. If you are over 50 toss it... :D

Return it.

If you ordered straight rod cut in lengths, that's what you should get. You could heat it and let it straighten or leave it out in the summer heat or something but the point is that you shouldn't have to.

I've never used delrin in my life (ok, once), but shouldn't it straighten if you heat it evenly, like boil in water?

OK, I did it.

I'm actually a secret billionaire, and have started bribing the world's Delrin sellers to sqoink it up.

Integral ftw!

Depends on what I am doing. I just got some of the single color rod from Steve. I can use delrin and not waste any having to restart a tenon. Or I can try to turn an integral tenon and piss money down my leg every time I have to start over.

And don't worry, George. I make sure to cut really deep cross hatched grooves in the delrin and inside the rodstock. :P
