Drilling delrin

Post by TreverT »

For those who work with delrin, I recently got myself some half-round bits just to try and they are TERRIFIC at drilling delrin. No binding problems at all. They drill the material quicker and easier than either standard bits or tapered bits. FWIW!

Trever,

Where did you get those bits?

If you place an order with them, they'll send you their giant catalog. Not only is it good for finding items you didn't even know existed, you can use it to weight down your lathe bench in a pinch. The thing is HUGE.

Not sure why I did not think of MSC. Specially since that is where I got my tapered bits. I have a case of the Friday afternoon stupids today.

Thanks Trever.
