Colored Acrylic Rod

Post by pipemaker »

Has anyone tried any of the colored acrylic rod from Delvies other than the black?

I have some of the solid white, but feel it is too bright for anything but thin trim rings.

Thanks,

Mike

Paul Tatum has made a few with some color. You can see them at www.tatumsworkshop.com

I know the electric green and light blue stems on pipes 409 and 415 came from Delvies rod. I'm not completely sure about the white stem on pipe 413, although it probably is Delvies rod. Most of the other colored stems (pipes 401 to 404, 417, 410, 416) were poured by Paul if I am not mistaken. You can email him to be sure, though, and get his thoughts on the colors (link on his website). He has some other colors in the wings he got from Delvies that he is planning to use, although I don't specifically remember what they were.
