finishing the slot

Hi all, what do you all use to clean the inside of the slot after final fileing so the inside of the slot does'nt look brown. The buffer does'nt get in there thanx Bob Clark

Melt some buffing compound and get it on a pipe cleaner.

I use a cotton shoestring loaded with buffing compound.

I take a pipecleaner thats been pulled over the tripoli, then spin it through the stem.

I tell my kids "If that isn't shiny inside when I come back, I'ma spank yer asses." and I don't know what they do, but it sure looks good. :lol:

Geeez. You only have them polish eh? I have them make the whole pipe :shock:. Course I got 4 kids so I had to find something for them to do other than destroy the house during the winter :lol: .

rub the pipe cleaner on some tripoli, then chuck it in a dremel.

Hi Bob,
I'm using also a pipe cleaner with buffering compound and I use a drill:

Machine runs not too fast. You can use a complete pipe cleaner for polish the complete airhole (makes the cleaner happy! And easier to clean later.)
Use protective glasses!
