double recessed ring for stem shoulder and shank face help

Hi everyone,

I have tried making on of these rings. it turned out ok. my question is was told to glue the unfaced and cut side onto fasle tenon. which i did but did not hold to well. i was lucky enough to be able to use that side on the shank. is there a better method. i saw the pictures on the rings on the forum and was helpful. just different style.

Could you post a picture of what you're making, maybe that will get you the help you need.

I think I k now what you're speaking of, but I'd like to be sure before I go and give an answer.
