Sometimes, it's nice to see PURE CRAZY spill out in front of you, if only to help you realize you're less CRAZY than some. In this way, Mike has served a purpose in the lives of others. In another way, he's made us all dumber. That said, I wish Mike "Crazy Town" Messer all the best in selling his mediocre wares at Bo Nordh (dead and in the grave) prices. I have very little hope that he will succeed in doing anything other than making an ass of himself, but George W. Bush did get elected president twice, so anything's possible!

It's too bad that his craziness caused some of the best makers out there to go on a hiatus from the forums. It hasn't felt the same since. I'm only now seeing some of them start to trickle back.

You’ll have to excuse my ignorance; I haven’t been around for awhile. So, I take it he is no longer a member of the forum?

I don't know for sure, but I believe he was respectfully requested to impart his wisdom to members of a different forum.

He is still a member retaining the ability to PM, however his ability to post in threads has been revoked.

I'm just thankful Kurt didn't follow through on his threat to lock the thread at page 3... all the good stuff came after it!

It's amazing the echos that thread alone has had. It's come up twice since I've been here!

Wait, isn't this page 2? I'm confused. Where is page 3, and how did I get here? Is that you Pa? I see a light . . . a very smelly white light! Mike . . .

Strangest thread ever. I had just begun to carve pipes, and you guys are right, that thread was like watching a train wreck. I still go to his site from time to time just to remember!

I've dome my best to read everything I could on this forum before I ask any questions. Some of the best entertainment of my past weekend was when I stumbled upon those nine pages. Definitely the strangest exchange I've seen on any forum. I think Todd J. is the King of the sarcastic comebacks!!! Kudos!!!!

I think TJ is a big meany who picks on newbies because he is insecure, but has powerful biceps, lovely hair and dreamy eyes...

IIRC it seems that you, Rad and Bruce were to blame for EVERYTHING, reguardless wether you were involved with the thread. It is kind of funny now but at the time it was truely nuts.

I'm proud to say that, while I was an active member of the forum when the "smelly ebonite" thread went down, I did not actively participate. I did however loose several IQ points from reading/following it. Good times.
