delrin and cumberland

Post by snapper »

I just got a hold of some cumberland and was anxious to get a stem going. I have gotten comfortable with delrin tenons and i was about ready to set it up when I thought..."this may look stupid with a black tenon. If I may ask what the consensus is among the pros. Turn an integral tenon to keep the cumberland look all over or just use delrin?

I don't see a problem with it. You can't see it unless you take off the stem anyway.I do it all the time. I say go for it.

It doesn't look as bad as Delrin on translucent or semi-translucent acrylic.

Tyler has discovered a fantastic new material... Deleon. It's proprietary, only Tyler sells it.

You can get the stuff in different colors. I've ever used anything other than white or black though.
