Wow, the pics in those listings are terrible. I can't imagine how pictures even get that distorted. It's like drinking Bruce Weavers bowl coating or something.

I'm not sure if it's really his or not. Some of the distortion on those other pipes is pretty funny, though. They all look like the hot "Reverse Calabash" design.

If Rad carved that, it's like, pipe #4 ever. It ain't great. Hell, it ain't even good, and ain't even not bad. It's ugly. But certain lines are done well (though the square shank on a volcano is queerer than Freddie Mercury). It's a strange beast.

We talked some years back about "How soon is too soon to start selling?" and he said it's impossible for a carver to know at the time, but he sure as hell knows in hindsight. Then added that if he could locate and afford to buy back a number of his early pieces, he would for pride's sake if nothing else.

He has little to worry about, at any rate. I think his rep was secured long ago.

I wish I had the time and money to go check this out, as it is located an hour away from me. If it really is an unsmoked RAD then it is totally worth it. I checked out this chicks other items and she sucks at photography worse than I do All of her pics look like she's using a fisheye lens or something.

The pipe is mine. It was an ASP POY around 2004 or 2005, I can't remember. I can tell you that the pics exhibit some sort of a bizarre distortion and have nothing to do with the actual shape of the pipe. The shape was much better than those pics show, but it wasn't great.
