The KC Carving Contest winning set is always raffled off

Post by LatakiaLover »

For those of you who don't know what becomes of the carving contest's 7-day set, it is put in a custom case made by lathemaster Anthony Harris and awarded to the winning ticket holder of a raffle that takes place during the show.

Tickets are $25 each/5 for $100, and ALL the proceeds---minus the (reasonable) cost of the custom case---are divided equally among the seven winning carvers. The club makes nothing on this contest.

Besides possibly winning a kick-ass set of masterpieces worth thousands, buying a ticket always supports your fellow pipe makers.

Please buy all the tickets you can afford between now and show time. You do NOT have to be present to win.

A KC club member posted how to purchase them online on Kevin Godbee's forum. Here's the link:

UFOs must be real. There's no other explanation for cats.
