Goussard Pipes - #1418

Post by Charl »

Through 14 years of marriage, I've learned to listen (or pretend to listen, if you're good) to the Mrs. So, just because Mrs Scottie said so, here's one recent pipe.

Sweet pipe Charl! Love the thin rings! There are a couple ways I've seen these done and I wonder if you would have been better suited as far as line goes to match the taper of the stem onto the shank? I think this one would look super sweet if the shank and stem taper matched. Anyone else? Thoughts?

Don't listen to Nate he's knows nothing. Seriously, that guy puts anything on pipes these days. This pipe is gorgeous.

Hmm, interesting thought, Nate. Suppose I'll just have to make another at one stage to see.

Right on. I like the pipe you have here, just wondered about the line if that would improve it.

I Think the taper looks ok. The only thing i see is the bowl needs a little more cant forward. The rings look like they lean back towards the stem.

Nnnnope! Not for me. Might just be the fact that the top of the bowl is not parallel to what it is resting on.

You are right. It's the hard line of the mirror under the pipe that gives the illusion. The reflection in the bottom looks straight.
