This is one of two presentable efforts with bamboo. I find the ebonite spacers a little too thick, but they are helpful with the transitions. They are a devil to polish and I still don't have that down.
I also don't trust a bamboo mortise, so added a piece of briar with a military mount. The over effect is a bit long. In retrospect, I would shorten both the bamboo and the briar.
I did find that I dould gently filee and sand the bamboo, and as long as I didn't go through the skin, it looks pretty good to me.
I also made two stems because he green short one looked a little too short.I prefer the tapered black one both for color and length.
