Thank you,yes the collars and the stem are water buffalo. There are two more pics in my album. I'll try and take some better shots, and post them.

thats a very nice pipe like the shape a lot..have you experimented with water buffalo stems like that before? I've heard they wear down after a while..

Dan, do you mind saying where you got that buffalo horn? Most of what I've seen is jet black with white striation. I'd love to get my hands on some lighter colors.

No, this is the first one, and thats the first I've heard of that, but I will take that under advisement. Maybe in the future I'll offer the pipe with two stems... one ebonite, the other horn.

Kurt, I posted a link,a little while back,in another discussion about Danish horn trim on stems, can't remember where. I'm going to work, let me get the name and addy, and I'll post it here in the morning.
