i love the top pipe... of all pipes i like freehands the best, especially those with really neat characteristics that are rare... neat pipe, will be saving the picture to add to my to do list for my own smoking collection... for the top is it just sanded and waxed, i can't tell if there is any stain on it

The top is just waxed and the body is done with a alcohol based cherry stain from Pimo. I sanded with 400 then stained then sanded again with 600 and restained.
