I guess it's really not a good name since they're ALL freehands. This one had great grain, tracks all the way around the pipe to the point at the bottom. Wasn't all that crazy about the stem, though, but it was a commission and he wanted it.

Acorn shape, IMO. I really like this pipe. Shape, grain and colour are all great and well executed. I share the same thought about the stem, though. This pipe reminds me of a recent Lobnik that I saw on smokingpipes. Not a copy, just reminds me of it. Well done. I would be happy to display a pipe like this one.

i think the pipe looks great... if the red in the stem were a little lighter I think it would look really good, but i do like the smoky swirl look the red in the stem gives... what did you use to make that type of stem... still new at all of this... great pipe
