55 Large Greek Ebauchons

Post by d.huber »

Hey y'all,

I'm happy to split them up at $8.50 per block, though I will include 5 of the best blocks I decided to keep for myself if someone buys the whole lot.

That's 60 blocks for $500 if you buy them all.

Prices do not include shipping.

These are Greek ebauchon blocks ranging in size from medium to large. I'd say the grain is mediocre on many, weak on some, decent on some. The grain can be pretty wild so they're fun to experiment with.

When I say medium to large in size, I mean it's been easy for me to get at least two normal sized pipes per block from nearly every block in the batch. The majority of these would be great for a rusticated finish and there are several that I think would likely make nice smooths. These are assorted grades 2 and 3 though there is no grade demarcation on the blocks.

I ordered 200 of these blocks 3 years ago and they've been great. I've only encountered 1 terminal flaw in over 100 blocks. They're also very dry as they've been resting in my shop for 3 years.

You can see a cross section of grain quality from random blocks in the batch of 55 here:  https://imgur.com/a/mICLal5

Thanks for looking!
David
