Blonde Stain recipe.

Post by BlueBriar »

Hey guys, does anyone have a trusty recipe for a rich blonde stain? Yellow fiebings alone is way to yellow. But tan is basically brown.

Have you tried Fiebings' light tan?

I have not, sounds great though. Maybe I can achieve a similar effect with yellow, tan, and DNA.

Blonde? Don't stain it.

You can hit a real nice color effortlessly with shellac of any tint, used sparingly. I have a bottle of stuff mixed up that I just slop on and walk away from, then essentially grind off with the tripoli wheel and finish on top of.

If that's not what you mean by "blonde" then I can't help.

IAWS. No stain recipe is necessary.

Here's another version of the same thing. Bee's wax over unstained wood, buffed thoroughly so no excess remains, then topped with carnauba:
