Mylands

Post by jabomano »

Does anybody know where I can get Mylands Transparent Polish? I can't find it anywhere in the U.S.

If anyone can ship it from the UK I'd gladly pay the shipping as long as it's not too outrageous. See the photo.

Thanks.

Here you go: http://www.woodturnerscatalog.com/searc ... N%20POLISH. May or may not be exactly the same thing.
They carry other Mylands products as well.

Send a rocket across the pond to Mylands and ask them if they export it to the US.

I don't know why Woodturners wouldn't have it. It's a fantastic finishing shellac and not a true polish.

It's a crowded field for sure. There may not be enough difference between it and some of the other products they carry.

Why do u want this brand specifically? Would it be because certain UK pipe makers use it?

If you have a Woodcraft in your area, check them out. Mine has it in stock in Columbus Ohio.

I think there is some confusion/question in regards to whether the Friction Polish and the Transparent Polish as shown in the picture are one in the same. Craft Supplies and Woodcraft both carry the Friction Polish. Is it a marketing thing or are they two separate items?
