I'm having trouble with the edges of my maker's mark area not being clean/crisp because the sandblast chatters it too much. I'm using gorilla tape. Any advice?

I sand the spot for the logo after blasting, personally I don't care for that sticker-like clean outline.
You could try using electrical tape or even superglued electrical tape and light sanding after blasting, that should leave a pretty clean edge.

I use a special 3m sandblast tape for the logo. It's designed specifically for sandblasting gravestones. It holds on well and leaves a shiny surface behind. After that, I spend a couple minutes blending the clean outline into the blast with some sandpaper. I have used electrical tape and that works as well.

Item 7802A22 (.500 pre-cut disc). Also available in pre-cut squares and rolls.
More aggressive adhesive is available also if you're into vaporizing the briar.

I use 3M electrical tape. Don't bother with the cheap stuff. It will lift during sandblasting. Also, make sure the surface is clean before adhering to the pipe. And, don't touch the sticky part of the tape. I use tweezers to remove the tape from the template and applying it to the pipe.

Don't know what it's like over there, but here in SA you get different thicknesses of electrical tape. I use the thickest possible for stem, rim etc and sandblasting vinyl for the stamp area.

Once I saw how elegant a depth-faded-around-its-edges "nomenclature island" looked, I was a believer. A few of the top end Danes have figured it out.

And while we're on the subject, I feel I must screech yet again about the eyeball-jarring clunkiness of smooth "mask stripes" at the end of shanks.

Fade-blend those two things and your stuff will absolutely stand out in a crowd, guys.

3m rubber tape from most big box hardware stores. It does not stick that well so make sure to press a little more.
