Simple buffing question

Post by Zeppo- »

Hello Everyone,

I have very little buffing experience and have just bought a Beall buffing system kit. Before I tear into it and start practicing a question occurred to me. Can I use the same buffs for both briar and vulcanite, or will cross contamination be an issue? I'm guessing this question is rudimentary enough that no one has bothered to ask it because I haven't been able to find an answer on the forum or elsewhere. Anyway thanks in advance for any responses.

Best regards

Yes, you can use them on the wood and the rubber. Just try to keep any of the rougher compounds off of the finer buffs (no red stuff on the white diamond buff, etc.)

Yup. Only thing you want to avoid is using the same buff on metal.
