Buffing hard to reach places...

Post by Ocelot55 »

So how do you guys buff tight places, especially convex curves and steep bends?

I know a dremel won't work because of the inconsistent results and the likelihood it will burn the wood.

Pieces of cotton t-shirt with compound on 'em. Put a jam-chuck in the chamber and clamp that to the bench to make working easier.

I use an old bow saw with cotton and flannel strips. I just recently came up with this but it works well because you can maneuver it around the curves of the bowl and shank and easily clean up any overlapped build up.
