Your Favorite Technique To Rustacate A Pipe

Post by WBill »

I know that everyone has their own way of doing this and I was hoping you could give me some information on how you go about it. I have only tried using a dremel tool and the results were not too good, as you can see on this link. http://www.bgimg.com.

Thanks Bill

Check out Tylers' section on Finishing - rustication. That is a great tool and very effective.
I also took a large Phillips head screwdriver and cut an X pattern down in the tip so that when the cuts are done, you end up with a four pronged tip.
Use a hacksaw to cut the metal.
I then sharpened those. Great tool, even has a built in handle.
Good luck.

yup. the one on Tyler's finishing page works well. I use both a dremel and a hand tool.
