Pipe Maker Website

Post by bondarev »

Hi!

I start a new web-service for pipe makers. Any of you can get a free website for hosting your pipes photos. I tried to make it really suitable for our purposes.

You can get the free 3rd level domain like smith.briar.club or buy your own 2nd level domain from any registrar. In the second case just change ns-servers to ns1.briar.club ns2.briar.club and contact me. I will set up the domain on my side.

The server is in Germany: it has a good ping from all over the world.

The engine is customizable enough. It can be just a photo gallery or something like a web shop. You can customize your website appearance by changing colors, owner photo or logo.

Examples:

http://bondarev.briar.club/
http://rusakov.briar.club/
http://loginov.briar.club/

If you are good in web design I can set up your own template (example: http://brishuta.briar.club/ )

It will never cost you anything, and I will never put any ads on your website, except a small service logo in the footer. I just do what is interesting for me, and I am glad to do something useful for pipe makers community.

If you are interested, please, fill this form and your website will start working immediately:
http://briar.club/setup-en.html

The service is in beta-version. That means it has been tested buy me and few users, and is stable enough now for involving more users. But sometimes there still may be some bugs. If you meet one of them, please, contact me :) I plan to run final release to the end of year.

Future plans:

1. Maillist (people will be able to subscribe and receive your new pipes once per week)
2. Auto exporting photos to the Facebook and Twitter
3. Buy/order form
4. Trafic statistic (the engine already collects it, but don't show yet)

All future features will be set off by default, but I will inform you how to start using them.

PS. If you are not a pipe maker and want to use the service for other needs, for example as a free photo hosting, sorry, I will have to deny this. It's not the Picasa. I am glad to do something for pipe makers community but nor for the whole internet :)
