Before you buy one of those or a similar one, try to find a machine tool Lathe supplier in your area. There should be one fairly close by Long Beach or LA. They will be similar to Precision Matthews and will service your lathe better than the brand names. They are the same lathes but with different names. The supplier I have in Columbus has the identical lathes that Jet, Grizzly, PM, etc.. have but the price is lower and if I buy one and have a problem, they are just down the road and will service it for free. I found my local one when I had to get my Jet service a few years ago. They are also the official Jet warranty service provider for Columbus. There must be at least one in your area.
