craftsman 109 lathe

Post by notow1 »

I was wondering what the real pipemakers think of getting an old small lathe like the craftsman 109 for making stems. I am only thinking of this if it can be bought cheaply and used as a convenience. All opinions are welcome, Norm.

I have one that I need to start restoring. I got it and all the parts I need on ebay for about $200. Now I just need to find time to work on it.
Am I Calamity Jane or Annie Oakley??...depends on the day.
