Thank you for the add
Name: Thom Thorpe (not related to Tim, that I know)
Age: 62
Location : central Ohio (east side of Columbus )
Years of pipe smoking: off and on for years started while stationed in England late 70s
Got into pipe making: made 3 about 6 years back and took a break. Economics is driving me back to pipes from cigars
Other stuff:
I moonlight 3 nights a week in a local B&M and have some knowledge of pipes, tobacco and cigars for "retail" use. I am a non arimatic guy. I enjoy making useful things so needing a better pipe rotation, ordered materials and pressed on. I have made a dozen in the last few months. Then drug my brother along by making a Dublin to his direction. A now shared obsession . I like freehand shapes most with clear grain and wax only. My shop is pretty well equipped due to years of wood working. May get a metal lathe at some point. Have to see how far this obsession take me.
