I really like the "erupting" effect on the inner edge of the chamber. Is that the natural plateaux stained on the top or rusticated and stained? My moniter res stinks .
I think it would look sharper if there was a more defined bowl/shank conjunction. Might just be me, but I also think the last knuckle of bamboo and the stem are too close. There is a nice even distance between the pipe to the first knuckle and if follows the same pattern to the last knuckle, and then suddenly the short distance between the last on and the stem.
Good job on an even transition to the bamboo though! I have played with a lot of bamboo and still can't get a really nice transition.
