Pipemaking ability --- where are you on the graph?

For the things that don't fit neatly into the other categories.

Pipemaking ability --- where are you on the graph?

Post by LatakiaLover »

This is a Pareto distribution of experience (increases linearly as you go right) versus accomplishment (increases linearly as you go up).

The line colors represent an individual's level of innate talent. Blue = Average / Green = Low / Red = High

Such charts are only "averages of averages", of course, and every person and situation is unique, but the PERSPECTIVE afforded by a snapshot of the situation is valuable information for craftsmen and artists in any field who try to make a living from their passion.

PS -- The "where are you?" was intended only to make you think about the dynamics of the situation, and is not a literal question.

This represents a level of accomplishment, not drunkenness. We don't need a chart to show how much Sasquatch drinks.

I notice the accomplishment scale is in very small increments compared to the experience scale. I figure I will be on the graph in about another year, Norm.

I think each pipe ends up in a different spot, and over time you can collect enough data to see where the cluster is and gauge it from there (kind of like all those little dots Sas made to get his cluster), pretty much the same way the Hot Crazy Matrix is used (check that out on youtube if you haven't yet)
